Before joining Dominican University, Khalid Razaki (Raz) spent 28 years as a member of the faculty at Illinois State University, where he retired as a full professor in 2008. He has won numerous awards for his teaching including the campus-wide Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the MBA Professor of the Year and the Department of Accounting Teacher of the Year at Illinois State University. He was the Founding Faculty Advisor of Beta Alpha Psi at Illinois State University and he is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma, Beta Alpha Psi and Omicron Delta Epsilon.

In addition to his long career as an academic, Raz has served as a management consultant to a variety of organizations, including Coopers and Lybrand, Kraft U.S.A. and the State of Illinois Library Board. He has also worked as a mechanical engineer in the power generation industry.

Raz is widely published and his articles have appeared in journals such as the International Journal of Accountancy, Internal Auditor, Journal of Small Business and Today’s CPA. He has also presented research at a large number of academic conferences, including the Decision Sciences Institute.
