When Nick Weaver, a senior vice president of treasury management operations payments at MB Financial Bank, started looking around for an MBA program, a fellow senior manager recommended Dominican University.
So Weaver sat in on a class to see if it was the right fit for him.
“From the moment I stepped on campus I knew it was the right place for me,” Weaver said. “The faculty at Dominican are great. They’re highly approachable, always available, very experienced and overall very passionate.”
The flexibility of Dominican’s MBA program was key for him. It offers weekday evening courses delivered on campus, online or in a hybrid format to allow students to set their own pace to complete their program as part-time or full-time students.
“When you’re trying to balance work and life together, while trying to obtain your MBA, the flexibility that Dominican offers is a great benefit,” Weaver said.
While working on his MBA, he said the knowledge has helped him in his current job.
“I think I’m a better communicator and a stronger big-picture and strategic thinker. And ultimately, when I’m done, I feel like I’m going to be a much more well-rounded leader, co-worker, employee and manager for my company and the industry,” Weaver said.
